Mass balance and GHG calculation are done in spreadsheets that have grown over the years. Changes are not documented and formulas cannot be traced. That is hard to prove in an audit, and a deviation affects certificate and remuneration at the same time.

The aha moment in the pilot phase was not the administration but the greenhouse gas calculation with a transparent calculation path. That is why it comes first here.
GHG calculation with a transparent calculation path
Integrated calculations for all elements along the production chain. Conversion factors, allocation and the comparison with the default value run automatically.
The result is shown in g CO2eq/MJ together with the savings compared with the fossil fuel comparator, each with the calculation path disclosed, the derived conversion factor, calculation history and export. For SURE and REDcert alike, for single substrates and for co-digestion.
Audit-ready mass balance instead of Excel
Every booking is an immutable event, reversals require a justification, and the change log stays complete and is kept for ten years.
Reports at the push of a button
The NABISY import CSV, SURE and REDcert annual reports and the UDB report are generated automatically from the mass balance data.
Documents via drag and drop
Delivery notes, weighing records, self-declarations and certificates are recognized and imported. Processing takes place in the EU, without permanent storage.

Set up master data
Company with NABISY participant ID, plant, CHP unit, storage locations, approved feedstocks. The certificate is added via drag and drop and checked for scope and validity.
Keep the mass balance
Deliveries one at a time with a delivery note scan, as CSV from the weighing record or as a bulk Excel upload. Always with a preview before import.
Calculate GHG
The calculation draws on the booked quantities. Total default value and actual values are shown side by side, and every intermediate step can be traced back to the source document.
Generate the report
NABISY import CSV, SURE or REDcert annual report and UDB report are generated at the push of a button, with automatically assigned biomass codes.

Who is behind it
Developed by an active auditor
David Schneider has been a REDcert auditor since 2019 and a SURE auditor since 2021, working as lead auditor for several certification bodies. That is why RENavigAID checks your data using the same methodology an auditor will apply later.
Strictly separate: Anyone who uses the platform is not audited by RENavigAID. Software and auditing remain two separate things, so there is no conflict of interest.

Who RENavigAID is made for
Biogas plant operators
Several thousand biogas and biomethane plants must be certified under SURE and/or REDcert. Anyone who runs technology, operations and administration themselves does not need a second administrative layer. The evidence should be created where the bookings are made anyway.
On pricing: Billing is per company, all plants included, with up to five users. That pays off even for a single plant. We discuss the exact figure in a call.
Auditors and consultants
Audits run faster because the data is standardized and validated. Consultants work on a basis that supports their recommendations and can be assigned to several operations.
Certification bodies
Consistent data and traceably documented reports shorten the audit and reduce follow-up questions.

Onboarding and data migration
The most common question before signing up is how much work the switch involves. That is why this section explains what actually happens.
Access and basic setup are ready within a few days of the call. How long it takes to migrate ongoing periods depends on your data, typically one to two weeks.
14-day free trial, with full functionality. Your data is kept. Up to five users per company are included, covering all of the company’s plants.
Support answers in German, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and also handles subject-matter questions about certification, not just technical ones.

Frequently asked questions
Is this recognized in the audit?
RENavigAID prepares the mass balance and GHG calculation following the SURE and REDcert methodology on the basis of RED II and RED III. Every value remains traceable to the underlying document, and changes are logged completely. The platform supports you in providing evidence, while responsibility for certification remains with the operator.
My consultant already does this in Excel.
Your consultant can keep working with you and gets a dedicated role with access to your operation. The difference is the foundation: instead of a spreadsheet whose formulas someone has to check one by one, bookings exist as immutable events with a change log. And you can look things up yourself at any time, even on the weekend.
Which certification schemes are supported, and what about NABISY?
SURE-EU for electricity, heating and cooling, and REDcert-EU for biomethane and biofuel. The calculation basis is RED II and RED III.
The NABISY import CSV is generated automatically, with assigned biomass codes and the GHG values from the calculation. Where NABISY reaches its limits, for example with co-digestion or when separating transport and processing emissions, RENavigAID maps the situation correctly internally and passes it on in the form NABISY accepts.
How does my existing data get in, and how long does it take?
Using ready-made Excel and CSV templates for deliveries, feeding and weighing records. The document recognition reads in delivery note scans and self-declarations. Before every import you see a preview and confirm it.

Where is my data stored and who has access?
In Frankfurt am Main, Google Cloud region europe-west3, encrypted in transit and at rest. Tenant isolation applies at database level, and roles for operators, consultants, auditors and certification bodies have tiered permissions. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
What does RENavigAID cost?
Billing is per company, all plants included, with up to five users. The price is set so that it pays off even for a single plant. We discuss the exact figure in a call, and before that you can test it free of charge for 14 days. Subscription with a minimum term of twelve months, then cancelable monthly.
I have grandfathering until 2030, so why now?
Because the switch requires data that is hard to obtain retroactively. Plants commissioned from 2021 must achieve 70 percent savings, from 2026 it is 80 percent, and after December 31, 2030 this also applies to existing plants. Anyone who organizes their data now enters the stricter rules with reliable values instead of rebuilding them under time pressure. The transition period is an opportunity to prepare, not a reason to wait.
